The Beach at Sandy Lane is worth a special mention as it is a perfect crescent-shaped stretch of sand. It is picture-postcard perfect with soft white sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters. There is a pontoon, so guests can enjoy an invigorating swim and plenty of trees if you like to have some natural shade whilst being enveloped in the gorgeous tropical warmth of Barbados. A good range of motorized and non-motorized water sports is available on the beach. If you feel like some exercise, walking all the way to Payne’s Bay in low tide is possible. As soon as you arrive at the huge electric gates at this estate, you will realize you have arrived somewhere very special. The impressive driveway meanders past swaying palm trees and mature tropical gardens full of sweet-smelling flowers and brings you to the house’s front door.

The entrance hallway is very grand and opens to a huge living room on the left with multiple sitting areas and a pool table, grand piano, bar, and television area. The décor is quite traditionally Caribbean in style, with coral-colored walls, marble floors, boutique furniture, and stunning pieces of local artwork. But the view is always present and will take your breath away. The formal dining area is to the right of the grand hallway, with a huge mahogany table ideal for lavish dinners up to 12 people. The fully equipped kitchen adjacent to the dining room has another dining area perfect for a casual bite.

The living area leads directly onto the huge, covered terrace. To the right is the alfresco dining area, and to the left is a super comfortable sitting area. A couple of steps lead to the exquisite 50-foot-long infinity pool, surrounded by comfortable sun beds from where you can enjoy the tropical Barbados sun, read a book, or just relax and enjoy the stunning sea views while listening to the sounds of the tropical birdsong. Due to its elevated position, the terrace at Bohemia is one of the best places in Barbados to enjoy the sunset. After sunset, the atmosphere around the pool terrace becomes magical with soft lighting, views of the moon reflecting off the ocean, thousands of stars illuminating the sky, and the sounds of the tropical tree frogs.

The gardens at this estate are worth a special mention. They comprise over 1.5 acres of lawns, tropical shrubs, beautiful palms, and sweet-smelling flowers. There are places to enjoy the view and relax in total tranquillity. The views everywhere are breathtaking.
